Water Babies is built specifically for very young infants who are just beginning their relationship with the water. The class is designed to be playful, gentle, and reassuring while giving families meaningful bonding time in the pool.

This level helps babies become familiar with the aquatic environment through songs, bubbles, supported floating, movement, and playful interaction. At the same time, it supports early sensory and motor development in a calm setting.

Atlantis also emphasizes the natural reflexes babies already have in the first months of life. This class is designed to help maintain those early instincts while introducing safe, positive water experiences from the beginning.

  • Introduction to the aquatic environment
  • Maintaining the baby’s natural diving reflex
  • Stimulating the baby’s natural swimming reflex
  • Acclimation, sensory, and motor development
  • Fun bonding activities like songs and blowing bubbles
  • Early floating, reaching, kicking, and gentle submersion
The class is free, but families should note that the annual family membership fee is $40 and covers the entire family for one full calendar year.
Atlantis explains that infants naturally have both a diving reflex and a swimming reflex in the first months of life. This class helps parents safely encourage those early responses through guided activities in the water.
Due to high demand, openings are first come, first served. If no opening appears, families should register for the wait-list class and Atlantis will reach out if a spot becomes available.
