What Is Open Swim?

Open swim gives families additional time in the water outside of lessons in a relaxed, comfortable setting. It is designed to help children build confidence, strengthen swim skills, and become more comfortable in the pool with extra practice beyond class time.

This session is for Atlantis Swim Academy families with an active membership fee, including both currently active and paused lesson families.

Available time: Saturday 11:00am – 12:00pm

What to expect
Open swim is a low-pressure opportunity for families to enjoy the water together outside of structured instruction. It gives children extra exposure to the pool while allowing families to reinforce comfort, movement, and familiarity in a warm indoor environment.
Who it is for
Open swim is intended for Atlantis Swim Academy families who want additional pool time to support progress outside of weekly lessons. Younger swimmers should expect close parent involvement, while older children may participate more independently depending on age, comfort, and supervision needs.
Why families use open swim

  • To give children more comfortable time in the pool
  • To make progress in a relaxed family setting

Should I get in the water with my child?
For babies, toddlers, and many younger swimmers, yes — a parent or guardian should expect to be in the water or very closely involved. Older children may need less hands-on support depending on age and comfort.
