Our Philosophy

OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY SWIM LESSONS IN A SAFE & CONFIDENCE BOOSTING ENVIRONMENT!

We started this mission due to the alarming number of swim related injuries/deaths for children that could easily be prevented through proper swim skills training. Drowning is the #1 cause of unintentional injury/death  for children 1-4 years old in the United States

The Good News: It can easily be prevented through age appropriate & high quality swim lessons! Our goal is to help this number reach 0 & since we live in the Land of 10,000 Lakes where recreational swimming is such an integral part of our lives, these precautions are all the more important.

What to Expect in Atlantis

Atlantis Swim Academy was founded on a mission to provide high quality swim lessons in a safe & fun environment. Our lessons stress goal-setting, instill perseverance, emphasize proper stroke technique and  feature progressive skill-building lesson plans designed around learning through play!

A Swim school designed for Kids:
A special boy or girl deserves a special swim school designed to make every lesson enjoyable! We have two separate pools and our facility was designed to entertain and capture your child's imagination!

Natural Learning - Learning Through Play:
Learning through play isn't something new. Kids have been doing it since the beginning of time. Atlantis creates lesson plans and class activities that take advantage of this natural learning method to help make sure that kids don't just learn how to swim but enjoy the entire process!

Atlantis Swim Academy boasts professional swim teachers that absolutely LOVE what they do. With over a decade of combined swim teaching experience, it's no wonder why our students see such positive results from lessons!

Our exclusive Atlantis Swim curriculum is based on teaching elements found in U.S, Australian, and Ukrainian swim training. Aside from progressive skill development & proper form our curriculum emphasizes:


 

  1. Safety - All children must be able to trust their teacher before they can learn. Our instructors demonstrate behaviors that show kids that they will always be in a safe & fun environment which is crucial to their confidence.

  2. Fun -  Children learn best through play. Play is integral work for children & allows them to discover how they learn best. Our instructors keep the lessons fun, challenging & creative through personalized instruction that emphasizes learning through play.

  3. Grit - Also known as PERSEVERANCE:  our teaching methods are formatted to develop this essential life skill. Studies have shown that children who develop grit are more likely to be successful than their peers who may have an advantage through natural ability. Wow!

  4. Love of Learning -  Our instructors love what they do and it shows! They are certified through the United States Swim School Association completing important coursework & continuing education their pursuit of excellence in teaching your children how to swim.
